Annalù was born in San Donà di Piave, in 1976. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. She lives and works in Italy.
This artist draws her inspiration from nature and ancient Italian techniques. With an almost scientific approach, she attempts to freeze a precise moment in time and space in her three-dimensional works.
Using fiberglass, bark, bitumen, cement and Murano glass, she creates new realities, suspended worlds, imaginary architectures where the alchemy is lightness.
Her emblematic “Dreamcatchers” are invitations to reflection, moments of abstraction between suggestion, reality and fantasy, where art is the protagonist.
She has won several awards and mentions, Arte Laguna Award, “Painting and Sculpture” in 2007 where she won 2 Awards and in 2008 where she won 3 Awards; White Pages Award in 2006; 1st Stonefly Prize for Contempoprary Art in 2008; Award “Ora” in 2011; 1st Prize “Opera le vie dell’Acqua in 2012; 1st Prize Zaha Hadid Award; and the Salerno Biennal in 2016. She has been selected as an Italian representative in the International collective exhibition at the Moya Museum in Vienna.
Annalù’s works have been shown in a number of Italian and foreign museums and can be found in public and private collections in Italy and abroad.
ArtCatto is thrilled to be representing such a unique artist in Portugal.
