Tessa Schack was born in South Africa and has lived in Europe for over 50 years, first in France and more recently in Portugal. In France she carved a career in media and advertising spanning 30 years which paved the way for her passion of photography. Tessa has always loved the African bush and the wildlife that adorn the natural landscapes, so it was a natural step for her to venture there with her camera.
Over the last few years Tessa has visited South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Kenya, capturing the wildlife; sometimes in stationary and tranquil moments and others busy, full of charged energy with huge herds in movement.
She visited Kenya in the Massai Mara in September 2016 to photograph the migration of the wildebeest and other wildlife.
When not behind the lens Tessa Schack can be found passing her time with her second passion, painting wildlife, portraits, and landscapes.
She now lives in the Algarve where she is back behind the lens shooting the beautiful landscapes, sunsets and sunrises. Tessa adores this part of the world with it’s rich culture and daily life. Her own life is as full and colourful as her images, she seldom stops and is already planning for the next trip to her beloved Africa.
